Seasonal Report Counts

These charts represent the cumulative number of sightings reported to the MOU on-line seasonal report.

Choose a family from the select box on the top. This will trigger the generation of a searies of charts, one for each species in the selected family. There is a delay while the map is created and sent to your browser.

This data is influenced by several factors, including the number of birders in the field, the number of birders reporting their observations, and the manner in which observational data is reported. It cannot, therefore, be considered representative of the actual number of birds in the state at any specific time.

Early and late migration dates cam be determined for most species. When the number of records is increasing, the birds are being reported. When the graph shows a flat, horizontal line, no birds are reported.
