This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Wednesday, September 10th 2008.

On the 9th, an IBIS was seen at the west end of South Pool at Agassiz
NWR in Marshall County.

A MISSISSIPPI KITE flew past Hawk Ridge in Duluth on the 8th and another
did so on the 9th. Based on observed plumage differences, these are
presumed to have been two separate individuals. A MISSISSIPPI KITE was
at the Old Cedar Avenue Bridge area of Bloomington, Hennepin County, on
the morning of September 9th.

On September 7th, two immature SABINE'S GULLS were at the Walker waste
water treatment ponds in Cass County. From the intersection of state
highways 371 and 200, drive north for about two miles, then turn left on
township road 73. Follow this road to the ponds. On the 9th, an immature
SABINE'S GULL was at the swimming beach at the north end of White Bear
Lake in Ramsey County. This was off county road 96.

A YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER was reported on the 9th in St. Louis County.
It was seen for about 20 minutes along the 1000 block of Maple Grove
Road in Duluth.

Also on the 9th, an adult female CASSIN'S FINCH was reported from near
the Kettle River SNA. The location was a small park situated 4.7 miles
west of I-35 on Pine County Road 48, then one mile north on an unmarked
road.

The next scheduled update of this tape is Thursday, September 18th 2008.
