Hey birders!

I decided to get in on the Buff-breasted Sandpiper activity and checked out a sod farm east of Mapleton, MN. There were about 20 Killdeer, 20 Pectoral Sandpipers, and a single Buff-breasted Sandpiper working over the bare dirt.

To get to this sod farm take CR 21 east from Mapleton. The sod farm is at the junction of CR21 and CR14.

Also...the Eurasian Collared-Dove of Mapleton fame is still in the area. I saw the bird fly over Hwy 22 in a southwesterly direction on the north side of Mapleton (the same area it has been all summer).

Happy birding!
